This is my self-portrait linocut. This work was done to represent how past artwork was widely available. There were no printers or copy printers so people had to cut the positive space and print it to share and sell their artwork. In my self-portrait linocut I used contrast in my shadows to show depth. I also was unable to use many colors in my project so I worked around that by using repeated patterns and shapes to give it variety while still maintaining balance.
